Job Description
:
Provides technical support to administrators, staff, and students by installing and maintaining all computer hardware, software, peripherals, and networking equipment.

Basic Function:
Provides technical support to administrators, staff, and students by instling and maintaining all computer hardware, software, peripherals, and networking equipment.
Qualifications :
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience in field).
- Experience with installatoin, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and local and wide area networks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with team members to accomplish common goals.
Reports to:
Technology Director
Major Functions:
Performs the installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of the district's computer hardware, software, peripherals, and networking equipment.
Provides technical assistance and support to other district employees and fellow technology personnel.
Maintains the security and integrity of the district's network.
Updates and maintains knowledge base doumentation for break/fix and best practices for the department.
Completes work orders as assigned and maintains detailed documentation.
Maintains the security and integrity of the district's network.
Works cooperatively and collaboratively with fellow technology staff to achieve common objectives.
Works cooperatively with school and district level personnel to support the district's mission and objectives.
Maintains a sufficient level of knowledge regarding relevant technical developments.
License Requirement : Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. Employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee is required to use hands to handle, feel, and/or reach. Employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch and climb ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
