Position Objective : Installs, maintains, repairs, and updates both hardware and software for building technology systems. Works collaboratively with the building Technology Services Supervisor assisting with server administration and to lead and support District operational and instructional technology initiatives. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance and diagnostics on technology systems. Independently utilizes problem solving and troubleshooting skills. May be required to perform work at various locations throughout the District as needed. Attend to the needs of students, staff, and general public.

Key Functions:
Directly supports the Instructional Technology department and the District's 1:1 initiative.
Work with building, District, and instructional technology teams in the implementation of building and District-wide technology initiatives.
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs/replaces computer hardware and peripherals, software, network, A/V, PA, clocks, VoIP, security, and other District systems as assigned.
Sets up and supports portable A/V systems.
Work closely with the System and Network Administrators to solve connectivity and other problems.
Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and system groups.
Achieves and maintains the A+ and Network + or other vendor certifications identified by the Chief Information Officer.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional affiliations.
Provides service and projects a positive and professional appearance to all stakeholders with a positive, supportive demeanor.
Communicates effectively and appropriately, as well as exhibit patience and understanding with students, staff and the general public.
Understands and follows verbal and written instructions.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary for specialized technology implementation and troubleshooting tasks, which may include current District standard operating systems. This includes obtaining information from vendor repair parts database to identify model and corresponding parts for replacement.
Utilizes secondary vendor web sites and other resources to obtain information necessary to be able to resolve software/hardware issues.
Maintains correct and complete documentation through the District's Helpdesk.
Evaluate and prioritize job assignments, material, and special equipment necessary to complete assignments.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assist in the maintenance of assets, equipment procurement, inventory, and supplies.
Maintains documentation of all District equipment repairs; preventative maintenance, and projects assigned.
Assist with management of appropriate site-level technical documentation for the various installed building technology systems.
Assist with the District's capital projects program as required related to the technical systems and infrastructure.
Work with the supervisor(s) in developing, implementing, and maintaining a preventive maintenance program.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the Technology Services Supervisor, Chief Information Officer or designee.
Ability to sit, stand for an extended period of time, listen, communicate effectively, lift up to 50 lbs., and able to work on ladders and in ceiling spaces.

Salary Range: $48,000-$60,000 depending on qualifications
