Salary: $73-$94/hr Job Summary:The Telecommunications Field Engineer will be responsible for the planning, analysis, design, development, and maintenance of telecommunications systems supporting government and public safety agencies. The candidate will have at least three (3) years of hands-on experience in telecommunications systems, including requirements definition, design analysis, and acquisition support. This position focuses on ensuring efficient system operations by identifying potential problems, analyzing alternative designs, and implementing recommended solutions. Key Responsibilities:Plan, design, develop, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems for government and public safety telecommunications networks.Define system requirements and analyze alternative designs to ensure optimal telecommunications solutions.Provide acquisition support for telecommunications systems and/or services, ensuring they meet agency requirements.Conduct detailed analysis of system performance to identify potential issues and recommend solutions to enhance system efficiency and reliability.Support programming and maintenance tasks related to telecommunications systems.Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver telecommunications projects on time and within scope.Monitor system health and perform routine troubleshooting to ensure continuous operation and minimal downtime.Assist in the implementation of state-of-the-art telecommunications technologies that enhance public safety communication systems.Required Qualifications:At least three (3) years of experience in telecommunications system planning, design, analysis, and maintenance.Experience in defining system requirements, analyzing alternative designs, and providing acquisition support for telecommunications systems.Proficient in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to telecommunications systems.Strong knowledge of telecommunications technologies, particularly in government and public safety sectors.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to recommend effective solutions based on system analysis.Strong communication skills for interacting with team members, stakeholders, and clients.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with government and public safety telecommunications systems.Familiarity with state-of-the-art telecommunications technologies.Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in telecommunications system design and support.Relevant certifications in telecommunications or related fields.Education:Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
