Staff will float throughout the Norton Healthcare system if needed within their scope of practice. Type of unit: Orthopedics, Spine, General Post op # beds: 55- Patient population: Adults Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Total Hip/Knee/Shoulder Replacement, Spinal Fusion, Fracture repair Lower extremity, TURP, Osteomyelitis, medical overflow. PAtient ratio: 5:1 standard, 6:1 max Common Equipment: Dynamap, Walkers, Gaitbelts, Stump shrinker/protector, Knee Immobilizer, JP drains, Hemovacs, wound vac, three way foley with bladder irrigation, and bladder scanner. Required Skills: IV insertion, PICC management, Wound Vac management, Feeding tubes, trach care, tele interpretation. Charting; EPIC Scrub color: Galaxy Blue Parking is off campus for a renovation- shuttle bus provided. RN can clock in as soon as they get on the shuttle
