Our client, an affordable housing organization in Boston, is seeking a temporary receptionist.
The position is from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm and is compensating $21 an hour.
The role will be approximately three months long with potential to expand.

Responsibilities: Provide customer service, reception, clerical and administrative support to various departments.
Assist staff with intake of applications; maintain records in accordance with applicable programs, and local, state, and federal regulations.
Manage the switchboard, answer incoming calls, and direct them to the appropriate staff.
Receive, sort, and distribute dropped off correspondence to the appropriate mailboxes.
Track general information regarding initial applications, offers, cancellations, move-ins, transfers, new leases, and housed applicants ensuring data is tracked accurately.
Organize filing system and clerical procedures for housing applicants; maintain accurate and essential files while confirming the security of such records.
Assist with the production, preparation and mailing of department correspondence such as letters, forms, reports, contracts, and other materials as required.
Maintain the reception area in a clean, organized, and welcoming manner; responsible for the inventory and stocking of informational materials, forms, and applications.
Keep the public bulletin board current.
Assist with special assignments as requested.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 2 years' experience providing general clerical or administrative support and customer service.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.
Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
