Position Title: Temporary Summer LaborerPOSITION OVERVIEWSummer (Temporary) employment in entry level (laborer) positions. Positions will be offered at the ASARCO Ray operation, consisting of General shops, Ray concentrator and Pit operations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSWork safely around moving equipment while using required safety equipment Ability to physically perform light to heavy work over extended periods of time, often under unfavorable working conditions and inclement weather Assist in all cleanup throughout property as required Use of hand shovel Use of general hand tools Use of small front-end loader for cleanup when needed Light or heavy lifting as required Various duties as assigned REQUIREMENTSMust have High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Must be 18 years of age or older Must be a graduating high school senior with verification of fall enrollment to a community or four-year college, orMust have completed or be in the process of completing Freshman year of college, orMust have completed or be in the process of completing first year of community college or vocational/technical schoolAbility to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals Ability to work in a load noise environment Please note: Preference will be given to sons/daughters/dependents of current ASARCO employees.Please attach current college enrollment verification with application and resume to be considered for this position.A core value of ASARCO LLC is "Safety First."
