Position Title: Temporary Workforce Readiness Coach I, Bridging the Gap
Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: $22.40 per hour

Location: Primarily based out of our Denver office at 711 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80205. 3 days/week in office, 2 days/week remote

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected hourly pay rate for this position is $22.40/hr ($46,592.00 annualized). In an effort to increase equity and to avoid unfair bias historically associated with salary negotiations, we do not participate in salary negotiations outside of this stated starting salary range.
How You'l l Help The Family Support Coach (FSC) will employ a strengths-based approach to support young people aged 18 and older experiencing homelessness, and/or exiting the foster care system and Division of Youth Services. The FSC will provide program participants with one-on-one assistance, resource referrals, and access to relevant opportunities for essential and critical basic need supports and services related to transitional housing vouchers.
Essential Responsibilities Build and establish relationships with Bridging the Gap program participants.
Refer and/or connect participants to programs, services, and opportunities, including access to mental health support, food, employment services, education opportunities, and financial health.
Collaborate with the Housing team to ensure participants are meeting goals and are on the path to achieve their goals.
Provide support and guidance to participants as they navigate challenging situations.
Responsible for documenting accurate participant information and activities, following client confidentiality.
Additi onal Responsibilities Support participants as they identify, access, and navigate systems designed to support their transition to living independently including obtaining medical coverage as well as forms of public assistance (TANF, SNAP, CCAP, bus passes, etc.). What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills High School Diploma/GED required; Some College or bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth or young adults in the following sectors: school districts, juvenile justice, mental health, law enforcement and human service agencies.
Minimum 3 years related experience providing supportive services to underserved communities.
Specials Skills/Knowledge: Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
Strong understanding of youth development factors.
Strong ties and understanding of community resources.
Strong case management and/or coaching skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Creative and flexible nature.
Must also successfully meet and maintain Mile High United Way's driving criteria.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce. Working Environment: 80% of time in typical office environment, 20% traveling to outside meetings and inspections. Must also successfully meet and maintain Mile High United Way's driving criteria. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Physical Activities: Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
