Summary: The main function of a Vehicle Compliance Testing Engineer is to work and validate powertrain system within vehicles. They are responsible to establish a process for compliance testing and software validation with the aim to execute this process long term. Furthermore, they are responsible to conduct other OBD and powertrain related testing and validation activities. Job Responsibilities: - Execute process for large Certification testing projects involving emissions and OBD - Perform the validation of released or soon to be released software for US market light-duty gasoline, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles - Prepare vehicle for Chassis Dyno and PEMS testing by collaborating with workshop and lab personnel - Plan and conduct PEMS/Dyno testing of gasoline or diesel powertrains in the areas of combustion, emissions control/OBD and EV range testing - Perform root cause analysis of issues and discuss countermeasures in a team setting. - Plan and support emissions or OBD testing activities and coordinate overall emission or OBD validation projects. - Perform analysis of certification related software changes and Prepare vehicle for Chassis Dyno and PEMS testing by collaborating with workshop and lab personnel - Present results and findings to upper management and other important stakeholders - Review AECD documents and conduct vehicle testing to validate AECD functionality Requirements: - Detail-oriented mindset and strong project coordination skills required. - Experience with vehicle testing activities - Basic understanding of powertrain technologies and its regulations (combustion and EV powertrain) - Proficient with data acquisition and development tools/languages such as INCA, MATLAB and/or Python. - Ability to author clear and concise technical reports for a wide, global audience - Bachelor's degree or 2-5 years' of related experience
