United Ticket Sales & Service Intern
The D.C. United Ticket Sales & Service team is looking for talented undergraduate or graduate students aspiring to enter the sports industry to join us as interns for the fall semester of 2024.
D.C. United Sales Ticket Sales Interns will be introduced to the sales world with the goal of helping you launch your sales career within the sales industry, while helping fulfill an internship requisite.
As a Ticket Sales and Service Intern, you will establish an understanding of the sales process, be introduced to the sales industry, be part of an intern cohort that will work on interdepartmental projects and gain real-life sales experience!
Tuesday to Thursday will be in person at the D.C. United offices located at Audi Field.
All other days, excluding any game days, will be optional/virtual.
The ability to work at least 25 hours per week in the office, work D.C. United home matches, and D.C. United grassroot marketing events is a requirement to be considered for the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):
Attend onboarding/offboarding sessions Assist Account Executives and Ticket Sales Managers and Directors with the creation of unique sales campaigns Participate in sales training and make sales calls to prospective buyers Administrative duties including data entry, research, and lead generation Matchday responsibilities such as sales table set up, running fan experience programs, and supporting prospecting events Willingness to work grassroots marketing events offsite Represent D.C. United in a positive image Maximum of twenty-five (25) office hours per week from September 10th, 2024, to December 1st, 2024 Participate in D.C. United Internship Cohort Other Duties as assigned Key qualities include: Coachable, hardworking, multi-tasking, and positive attitude Ability to effectively interact with staff and clients Ability to work flexible schedule inclusive of evenings and weekends Must be an active college student and receive credit for the internship Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Proficient in Spanish is a plus, but not required All candidates must complete a successful background check.
