Job Description
Employees will be trained to do the following thru the Youth Program
Raise vehicles, using hydraulic jacksRemount wheels onto vehiclesUnbolt and remove wheels from vehicles, using lug wrenches or other hand or power toolsPlace wheels on balancing machines to determine counterweights required to balance wheelsIdentify tire size and ply and inflate tires accordingly Work Activities -Work Experience Participants will be trained in the following:
Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sourcesOperating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment — Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraftCommunicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in personHandling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating thingsInspecting Equipment, Structures, or Materials — Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
