The Title Work Clerk assists with administrative tasks for Lending Support Department staff to ensure timely delivery of services to members, vendors and outside contacts.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions.
Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
Required to attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.
Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance to Shell FCU policies, procedures, philosophy and standards of performance.
Process preliminary review of title work files by reviewing all pertaining loan files funded within designated timeline Print and create accurate loan files for each loan reviewed electronically.
Maintain the Pending Title Work Queue and Electronic Title Work Queue in Meridian Link Document all exceptions noted during the preliminary review in the Title Work Exception spreadsheet as it pertains to each loan officer and their branch.
Document and update the Sales Tax GL spreadsheet accordingly for each preliminary loan file review.
Responsible for notifying management immediately of any loan funded that is outside Credit Union policy.
Maintains accurate preliminary title work files and reports on any funded loan that is missing.
Assist with Title Work Processes (Title Matching & Outstanding Check Monitoring) Performs additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills
Experience:
One to three years of similar or related experience.
Education / Training:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Job Requirements: Welcoming and helpful demeanor Must possess professional verbal communication skills Possess the desire to accept additional responsibilities within branch operations Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite Accuracy and attention to detail are needed Perform all work with established policies and procedures.
Ability to work in an open-concept workspace/environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend and stand.
May at times be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 15 pounds.
