Children's Journey Preschool is a Faith Based Preschool at Redeemer Lutheran Church, and we have been serving the community since 1972. Come join a team of wonderful and passionate early childhood education professionals! We are currently looking to grow our staff with new toddler and preschool teachers. Duties Provide children with a nurturing and safe environment where they feel loved and connected to their caregivers Practice classroom management techniques that align with the Preschool's positive guidance policies Communicate regularly and effectively with administration and other staff members Make the anti-bias and anti-favoritism perspectives evident throughout the classroom Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion Establish strong parent and family relationships Must be able to multi-task and exhibit great organizational skills Must be able to understand and implement policies and procedures at all times Candidate must be flexible and be able to respond to change as needed Be a team player and open to learning new things Uphold the vision and philosophy of Children's Journey Preschool Requirements Applicant Requirements: Experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting Completed 45 hours through DCF - Required for VPK positions. Reliable to work assigned shift Physical Requirements: Be able to stand on your feet for up to 90% of the day Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds Sit on the floor and scrunch down to meet any child's needs Perform all activities with the children, including running, jumping etc. Nice To Haves Completed 45 hours through DCF CPR and First-aid certified CDA Current DCF approved background check completed Benefits Competitive pay scale based on years of experience and education level Paid holidays after 90 days of service Paid time off beginning at 90 days and increasing at 6 months Vacation days after 1 year of service Discounts on childcare for birth - 5 scholarship and continued education opportunities Job Type: Full-time
