Job Title: Tooling and Installation EngineerJob Description
As a Tooling and Equipment Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the statement of requirements and managing the installation of process equipment in various GM Manufacturing Centers around the world.
You will oversee Installation Execution activities in General Assembly, interfacing with Body and Paint Execution and Installation teams.
This role requires creativity, initiative, and a passion for managing construction projects.
You will directly manage Installation Suppliers, ensuring site safety, adhering to the installation schedule, and controlling project costs.
Responsibilities
+ Develop the statement of requirements for process equipment installations.
+ Manage the installation of process equipment in GM Manufacturing Centers globally.
+ Oversee Installation Execution activities in General Assembly.
+ Interface with Body and Paint Execution and Installation teams.
+ Directly manage Installation Suppliers, ensuring their adherence to site safety protocols.
+ Maintain and control the installation schedule and project costs.
+ Ensure all aspects of installation work are completed to standard.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with mechanical systems in vehicle plants.
+ Safety-minded individual.
+ Education, training, or experience in construction management, safety management, tooling installation, equipment construction, integration of conveyor equipment, facility maintenance, or manufacturing production engineering.
+ Demonstrated technical and professional skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office.
+ Ability to use AutoCAD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals.

This is a contract position with a duration of 15 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Orion Township, Michigan.
Work Environment
Plant Floor manufacturing environment.
The plant is undergoing retooling and will be a brand-new facility once production launches.
