Responsibilities
• Perform machine and bench operations for the construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of tooling, jigs, fixtures, etc.• Read and comprehend blueprints and technical data• Design work where no design is available• Operate machine tools to produce or repair parts• Perform skilled bench work involving filing, scraping, fitting, etc.• Measure mold details and document measurements• Perform heat and water testing of molds• Achieve established mold maintenance times• Complete repair and maintenance of insert mold machines, assembly equipment, progressive dies, and fixtures• Adhere to applicable laws and company policies regarding discrimination
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED• Completion of a recognized Tool & Die State Apprenticeship program preferred• Minimum of 5 years' experience in fabrication, assembly, repair, and maintenance of relevant equipment• Ability to read blueprints and comprehend technical data• Skilled in machine tool operations and bench work• Knowledge of mold detail tolerances• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks• Attention to detail in maintaining tolerances and interrelationships• Ability to climb and reach overhead for machine operations• Good decision-making skills for fits, finishes, machining, and assembly sequences
