Description Position Title: TPSN Data Specialist Department: Teen Parenting Service Network (TPSN) Reports to: Director of Program Support Position Objective and Summary: The Data Specialist is a support role to TPSN and the Quality Improvement team's efforts toward program evaluation, quality improvement and quality assurance functions within UCAN.
The Data Specialist is responsible for collaborating with TPSN program staff to identify and execute data entry and data cleaning efforts that will allow for the team to engage in data analysis and evaluation projects with their assigned programs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Data Entry and Data Cleaning Assists with data entry needs for the Network and specific program data-entry projects as needed Leads data entry of annual Client Satisfaction Surveys Conducts data entry needed to support the TPSN Statewide Network, specifically as it relates to education and employment data collection and data entry of New Birth Assessments.
Utilization Review Assists in the maintenance of all quality standards, including service provision and documentation; works with service providers to assure compliance to these standards taking into consideration agency and program needs, as well as COA, Medicaid and other contractual obligations.
Completes on-site reviews (education, parenting, therapy teams) and provides feedback to managers regularly.
Best Practices Assists with document preparation for ongoing agency/program audits and accreditation reviews (i.e.
Department of Child and Family Services and Council on Accreditation) Collaboration Builds relationships with TPSN staff through participation in Monthly SSS Team meetings and special projects.
Attend TPSN Management Meetings, when invited, to provide report findings and strategize solutions to complex problems.
Maintains communication with UCAN's IT department around the functionality of UCAN's electronic case management system.
Maintains knowledge of other QI functions in the agency and collaborates on team projects.

Demonstrates high degree of integrity to ensure data is accurate and an honest reflection of our work Education /Job Experience/Certification: BA/BS in human service field required.
Special Knowledge and Qualifications: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, with the ability manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
Strong attention to detail.
