Delaware North Gaming is searching for a full-time Track Maintenance Worker to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring proper maintenance and safety of the racing surface and associated equipment.

Delaware North operates Mardi Gras Casino and Resort dating back to 2018. Located 14 miles west of Charleston, West Virginia, Mardi Gras features more than 25 table games, a poker room, more than 850 slot machines, live greyhound racing, and off-track betting for both greyhound and horse racing; several restaurants and a 150-room hotel.
Drive the Kubota tractor for track maintenance and the van when traveling to the kennel compound. Prep the track in the morning and drag the track every race. Water every 2-3 races. Ensures compliance with racing commission standards as they apply to track surface maintenance. Continuously inspect track surface, infield, and tote board area and perform maintenance of the track and the racing surface. Preparation of the racing surface, including ensuring the track is free of debris, obstacles, and weeds. Monitor track tubing to ensure it is in good working order to ensure proper moisture of the track and the safety of greyhounds during racing. Operate the track equipment in a safe and proper manner. Assist in beautification projects as assigned. Inspect boiler and heating tubes to ensure proper heating and moisture conditions. Report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Racing immediately. Properly maintain the kennel compound's sprint path and associated grounds. Landscape and mow racing-related areas, including, track infield, all grounds around the paddock building, and kennel compound. Current valid motor vehicle license required Must be able to obtain and maintain a Racing Commission License. One year related experience preferred. Ability to lift or carry 50-90 pounds. Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, push and pull, climb, mount, and dismount forklift. May be exposed to high volume noise. May be exposed to extreme heat or cold.
