Full job description As the Trade Compliance Manager (TCM), you will report and promote communication between the Global Trade Compliance Manager (Global TCM) for Aerospace and the designated facility on all Trade Compliance related matters. You will manage the export compliance programs to ensure compliance with all applicable US regulatory laws and PPG's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities Maintain an understanding of all PPG Export and Import Management Procedures, Corporate Export and Import Compliance Procedures, and SOPs that support the PPG Compliance Program. Analyze requirements for compliance as they relate to: Export Administration Regulations (EAR) of the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP); and other applicable Government Agency rules and regulations. Identify and analyze the need for new business processes and provide direction to the PPG Aerospace business, global subsidiaries, sales, procurement, project managers, order management, and resolves matters on export/import transactions to ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. laws and regulations. Document, implement, and administer all required policies, procedures, training, and education for the PPG Aerospace site with the guidance of management. Responsible for product classification and HTS/Schedule B determinations by working with technical personnel and suppliers/distributors to obtain product information to support product classifications for both import and export shipments. Ensure that the business site has appropriate record-keeping procedures in place consistent with PPG Aerospace procedures. Conduct periodic audits of the Trade Compliance program within the business site, help implement any corrective actions and work with management to identify any systemic issues. Assist management in conducting investigations to ensure compliance within the business site. Maintain expert Trade Compliance knowledge through internal and external training. Determine export licensing/exception/exemption/agreement requirements for the site's products and technical data, and assist the business site with process improvements of the export control requirements. Manage Visitor Control, Data Reviews, and Travel approvals; Identify any foreign nationals working in the site and monitor that individual's access to controlled technology. Ensure the business site is in compliance with all denied party screening and country sanctions/embargo policies. Meet all reporting requirements, and report any export control violations or concerns to management. Assist the International Logistic Coordinators with export authorization shipment approvals. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in Trade Compliance, Global Trade, or other relevant work experience. Bachelor's degree in business, transportation logistics, chemistry, and global/trade compliance is preferred or commensurate work experience in the same areas. Travel of up to 15% may be required.
