AECOM is seeking a Traffic Monitoring Specialist / Dispatcher / Call Center in Detroit, MI.The position involves updating and responding to traffic events and congestion, acting as an emergency dispatcher, and performing data entry functions.The job requires fluency in multiple PC applications, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a 24/7/365 environment.

Responsibilities
• Update and respond to scheduled and unscheduled traffic events and congestion using surveillance devices.• Dispatch responders via a two-way radio system to assist motorists and respond to events.• Perform data entry functions and work fluently in multiple PC applications.• Prioritize multiple tasks in real time, especially in potentially serious situations.• Receive, document, and relay information from numerous sources with exceptional communication skills.• Perform moderately complex technical work under direct supervision.• Make decisions based on critical thinking and assessments.• Work in a 24/7/365 environment.
Requirements
• High school education or equivalent with no experience required.• Background and drug/alcohol screening are mandatory.• Willingness to work outside of standard business hours and in a 24/7/365 operation.• Preferred qualifications include 2 or more years of surveillance and/or CCTV monitoring experience, strong attention to detail, customer/client relationship experience, and ability to multi-task.
