Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Training & Shareholder Development. The Trainer is accountable for the preparation of training manuals and facilitating training courses that are required and defined by Management
\n Responsibilities:Prepare and update training materials by applying established trade knowledge and skill requirements vital to ensure that trainees receive adequate training in their specific work tasks to protect their health and safety and proficiency for assigned tasksEnsure accurate reporting and paperwork is complete in accordance with the Department of Labor standards and regulations for apprentices and journey personsProvide safety task training for all on site as per MSHA regulations and to ensure employees are properly trained prior to approaching workEnsure pre-testing is in place and completed to ensure quality selection of apprentices into the operation's apprenticeship programCoordinate and facilitate monthly apprenticeship meetingsFacilitate classroom and training in the field using the developed training modules, while crafting learning situations where trainees can show strength in advancing their knowledge and skillsMeasure and evaluate employee performance against the training objectives that relate to competency and self-motivation within the classroom, involvement with specific equipment and project assignments, and spend time on a regular basis performing on the job trainingProvide current status on all training by issuing reportsEstablish Personal Goals and Objectives annually that align with Departments. (These require Supervisor approval and will be evaluated in regards to attainment during Performance Planning and Coaching reviews) Qualifications:Five (5) years' experience in mining or related industryThree (3) years shown training experienceShow successful team cooperationPossess good written and verbal communication skillsAble to present to individuals and large groupsExcellent organization and multi-tasking skillsCommitted to continuous improvementStrong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
