PURPOSE STATEMENT: The Training and Special Project Development Professional-Expert for the Acute Team is responsible for training, developing, and coaching the Acute Facility Directors of Business Development and Business Development Representatives upon hire and throughout the course of their employment. The TSPD will be responsible for the development and execution of new-hire training programs, progression training programs, and leadership development training programs, as well as assist with project assignments as needed. The TSPD will work in coordination with the Corporate Business Development Vice President and Divisionals to identify Acute business development team members in need of development and/or improvement and will devise, deliver, and oversee the development plan through one-on-one field training and coaching. The DTSP will develop trainings to provide support of the DBDs and Reps in the day-to-day sales process and coaching individual business development team members when needed. The TSPD will work with leadership, clinical, admissions, and business development staff at Acadia's network of acute hospitals to develop a unified approach to working with the business development teams and will provide training on such processes. The DTSP positively represents the Acute Corporate Business Development Team within and across Acadia Healthcare divisions by cultivating relationships and building business opportunities for the organization.  
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develops and provides training for newly hired Directors of Business Development and Business Development Reps in the areas of administration, routing, messaging, strategic planning , management , and more .   Provides training for newly hired Directors of Business Development (DBD) in the areas of administration, accountability, leadership, field time, travel, and scheduling. If the DBD is an external hire, the DTSP will also train the DBD on branding, routing, messaging, strategic targeting, triaging cases, event planning, and budgeting.   Develops self-study assignments and assessments for new Directors of Business Development to educate themselves on the following: common terms and acronyms pertaining to the disorders we treat and services we provide, differentiating services and modalities provided at our Acute facilities, national behavioral health trends. and processes and protocols for engaging with facility Leadership Team members.   Develops objectives and produces evaluative documents for field rides based on established Acute expectations and competencies with input from Vice President and Divisional Directors of Business Development.   Works in coordination with Divisional Directors to create performance improvement plans for those tenured Directors of Business Development and Business Development Representatives in need of improvement in specific areas such as messaging, targeting, routing, and impact, and conducts field rides if needed.   Occasionally conducts field rides with new and developing Directors of Business Development and Business Development Reps, providing guidance, feedback, and follow-up action points to both the individual and the Divisional Director of Business Development.   Develops and delivers on-going training to the Acute Business Development team on topics that will introduce and improve progress toward objectives, performance, teamwork, and leadership.   Identifies collateral to meet the needs of, and provide support to, the Acute facility Teams in order to increase daily efficiency, proficiency, productivity, and efficacy in the field.   Works with the Divisional Directors of Business Development and Vice President to identify individual and regional strengths and weaknesses through the use of SalesForce data and implements plans for improvement.   Takes lead on national training content based on input, needs, and feedback from Corporate Business Development Team.   OTHER FUNCTIONS: Performs other duties as assigned.   STANDARD EXPECTATIONS: Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains organizational and industry policies regarding confidentiality.   Communicate clearly and effectively to person(s) across all levels of leadership, sales, marketing, and operations.   Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time.   Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.   Maintains regular and predictable attendance.   EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in relevant field is preferred.   Master's degree in education, business management, or social services is preferred.   Minimum of four years' experience driving business results in a healthcare role; preferably in behavioral health.   Minimum of two years' experience in a management, leadership, training, or teaching position that included assessing, evaluating, and developing others.   Ability to develop and deliver individual and group trainings /workshops.   Proven ability to build relationships, lead, manage and drive business results through others.   Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.   Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment.   Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.   Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.   Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.   Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames.
