Tesla is looking for an individual experienced with training personnel on manufacturing best practices to contribute to the Cell Manufacturing team at Gigafactory Texas.
As a Training Specialist, you will build a world-class manufacturing training program from the ground up.
You will leverage your experience in production operations, adult learning principles, and process optimization to support operational excellence.

Instructors will provide support to students and fellow staff members, work in a lab setting providing hands-on instruction with safety in mind, keep accurate records of student achievement, and an ability to maintain discipline in a classroom setting.
In this role, you will work within the Quality Systems organization supporting the development of the Production team.
Responsibilities Create and maintain documentation (lesson plans, instructor guides, visuals, etc.)
to support the overall structured manufacturing training programFacilitate new hire Production Associates through all phases of the structured manufacturing training program, including extended onboarding as well as documenting attendance and evaluate assessments and/or feedback for all training activitiesQualify production line personnel as On-the-Job trainersProvide on-shift training support for production associates and production line leadership, as requiredBenchmark actual workstation production sequence/conditions against current job-task list and training program materialsSolicit, document, and disposition feedback from respective production line leadershipReview and update department program documentation and production Manufacturing Instructions, as assigned and determine appropriate training method for Manufacturing Instructions updates Requirements 3+ years of production operations experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment1+ years of experience in a hands-on training role (Lead, Supervisor, Trainer)Creation and delivery of effective training in both written and oral formatsAbility to communicate professionally with all levels of management and comfortable speaking in front of large audiencesUnderstanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, or educationThe ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or directionProficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
