Phoenix - formerly Phoenix Capital Family of CompaniesPHOENIX is seeking a qualified Transaction Analyst to join our Transaction Management Division; this role will play an important part in Phoenix Capital's transaction execution, including comparative analysis, industry research, and marketing processes. The Transaction Analyst will be responsible for supporting transaction managers, portfolio analysts, account executives, and executive management.
Responsibilities: Pricing and comparative analysis of real-time Phoenix transactions; including regularly updating pricing modelsAssist Transaction Managers in marketing process for portfolios of mortgage servicing rights (MSRs) and/or Whole Loans; including manipulation of loan data, marketing presentations, and administrative functionsPrepare material for client specific presentations and perform general industry analyses for marketing purposes (e.g. synthesize complex data, trends, analyses, etc. from a variety of sources and formats into thorough, but concise reporting for internal and external purposes)Track and analyze industry transactionsCoordinate with our Analytics team to review MSR and/or Whole Loan valuations pertaining to live transactionsAssist in various research projectsOther projects as assignedQualifications, Knowledge, and Skills: Excellent written and verbal business communication as the Analyst will quickly become exposed to executive level audiences both internally and externallyStrong analytic abilities, financial aptitude, and attention to detailAdvanced Excel, database management and PowerPoint skillsExperience with Alteryx, SQL, or other advanced database management/reporting tools a plusCapacity to learn new software programs quickly, including discounted cash flow modeling applications, various workflow, and client management toolsExceptional time management skills and ability to organize and prioritize tasksAbility to perform under pressureComfortable with the challenges and opportunities that come with working for a smaller, merit-based, entrepreneurial organizationResidential secondary marketing experience (capital markets), and/or understanding of mortgage bond pricing and discounted cash flow analysis a plusEducation & Experience: Undergraduate and/or advanced degrees in Business, Finance, Economics, or MIS preferredMortgage banking experience, valuation software, etc. a plus but not required0-3 years of experience preferredPhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and being available and responsive via email/phone/messaging.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.(If applicable to role) Travel to meet with clients or potential clients and/or to represent the company at conferences will be required on occasion or as-needed.
