RUSD educates nearly 42,000 students across 50 schools in Riverside.

Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Special Education, provide technical assistance for obtaining equipment and adapted materials, transcribing a variety of materials into Braille and large type and implementing Individual Education Plan (IEP) objectives for assigned students of the Visually Impaired (VI) Program.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by knowledge of Braille transcription and computer Brailling.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Braille Literary Code Certificate.
Valid California driver's license.

Comments and Other Information
After a conditional offer of employment, applicants will be required to pay the cost of all pre-employment processing which may include, but are not limited to: physical/functional capacity examinations, drug/alcohol screening, tuberculosis screening questionnaire, and criminal background check.
