Job Description
The Transfer Driver is responsible for delivering seasonal equipment like skis, snowboards, bikes, rental equipment and retail items between designated Aspen Skiing Company locations with the use of company delivery trucks.

Essential Job Functions
Drives truck to pick up and deliver bikes, skis, snowboards and other items between Rental/Retail stores, Tune Shop, Guest Service locations and other designated Aspen Skiing Company locations
Loads and unloads bikes, skis and snowboards onto rolling carts, rolls carts between truck and pickup/delivery locations. Carts can weigh up to 100-125 lbs. and sometimes need to be rolled through snow and other varying terrain
Organizes bikes, skis and snowboards according to appropriate destination
Loads trucks, organizing to maximize available space. Unloads trucks at destinations
Sorts boots and helmets to return to home locations
Records pickup and delivery information in log books
Maintains safe practices as transfers are done at night, on varying road conditions, and on slick, ice-covered walkways in winter
Maintains truck logs according to state and federal regulations
Maintains telephone contact with supervisor and team members
Recognizes emergency situations and performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires and installing fuses
Ensures the interior of all company vehicles are maintained and kept clean at all times
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must have a valid, current, unrestricted Driver's License
Previous experience driving large box truck is preferred
Must be available for morning/day shifts in the summer and/or evening/night shifts in the winter

Supervision Given and Received
Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision received: Works under direct supervision of the Transfer Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, see, hear, sit, drive a shuttle/car for extended periods of time; squat, kneel and bend
Regularly work/drive in adverse weather conditions. Frequently drive in bright sunlight and at night.
Exposure to noises that cause distraction and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50
