HDR is looking for a Transit Civil Engineer to join our Southern California Transportation group to support the design and/or planning of public transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working on rail transit projects in Southern California. The successful candidate shall demonstrate knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local standards and requirements and has an understanding of project delivery processes for various phases of project development from conceptual design to design support during construction.
In the role of Transit Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:
Serve in a technical role, under the direction of a Project ManagerOversee the work of EITs and Junior Project EngineersTake responsibility for project involvement, ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phasePerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsA minimum of 3 years experience in transportation design - railroad projectKnowledge of "legacy" InRail/InRoads platform2+ years experience in rail/transportation designStrong organizational and time management skills with ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of "Legacy" InRail/InRoads platformLocal candidates preferredRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseHands-on experience with Microstation, OpenRail Designer, AutoCAD and Civil3DMust be able to work both independently and in a team settingMS Office software experienceExcellent oral and written communication and project management skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe
