Martin Transportation Systems (MTS)is currently hiring full-time Logistics Coordinators in our Breakdown division. This position is great for someone with mechanical knowledge of both tractors and trailers as well as basic computer/office skills. The Transportation Coordinator Breakdown Division will be responsible for coordinating on-the-road equipment breakdowns and schedulingthe equipment for quick and cost-efficient repairs. Applicants will be working closely with drivers to ensure proper procedures and notifications are followed. Practical knowledge of tractor trailer repair and basic FMCSA regulations are a must. Previous experience in the transportation industry is preferred. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Assist drivers with breakdown needs, accidents and emergencies by either routing them to terminals or coordinating roadside repairs. Arrange breakdown services by locating authorized vendors within proximity to ensure minimum wait time, competitive pricing and qualityrepairs. Communicate any service disruptions and route changes due to down equipment. Identify warrantable repairs and file claims with the appropriate vendor(s) or manufacturer(s) as needed. Maintain contact with vendor(s) during repair to ensure specific requirements are being met. Update all partiesregarding progress toward completion of repairs. Coordinate payment methods to vendors. Requirements: Logistics experience a plus Willing to train the right candidate Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced setting Knowledge of basic FMCSA regulations a plus Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite Shifts available: 2nd shift Monday through Friday 3:00pm 11:00pm Full benefits package as well!
