Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!
As a Coordinator, Transportation, you will play a vital role in ensuring our drivers is equipped with the information needed to deliver all products on time and safely. The Coordinator, Transportation supports the transportation team in improving production processes and maintaining daily business. This includes tracking, calculating, and coordinating a variety of driver and route information along with performing administrative tasks. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Serve as a backup dispatcher, coordinating driver assignments and schedules as needed.Oversee the loading process, ensuring adherence to proper loading techniques and safety protocols.Conduct temperature control validation and verify seal integrity for outbound shipments.Perform lock and security audits on trailers and equipment.Review and process paperwork for drivers.Provide support to drivers regarding routes, schedules, and any issues that may arise.Conduct safety audits and inspections of equipment, vehicles, and work areas.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.Identify and address any potential safety hazards or concerns.Help coordinate the activities of the Transportation night shift team.Help provide training and coaching to team members as needed.Foster a positive and productive work environment.#CM-ALLQualification:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
6-12 months in a transportation environment
Administrative support performing basic math and computer data entry skills Knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation regulations.
