Job Description

KSI Auto Parts is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher, who will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the transportation operations within our company. You will assist in managing the day-to-day transportation communications while also ensuring that deliveries are made safely, on time, and without damage.

Responsibilities:

Assist in leading the team of 20+ CDL and Non-CDL drivers
Address any challenges that may arise during the shift
Maintain constant communication with drivers to ensure smooth operations
Track shipments in real time, and report any delays or emergencies promptly to the relevant parties
Utilize tools such as Descartes, Geotab, and the Microsoft Suite of products
Prepare and send daily end-of-shift reports with timeliness and accuracy
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, fleet performance goals are being met, and operations are maintaining efficiency
Ensure strict adherence and compliance to company policies, safety regulations, and DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations
Oversee the Hours of Service (HOS) and Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) programs
Perform other duties as assigned as business needs change

Qualifications

Must have valid driver's license
Must have at least 1 year of professional delivery driving experience.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others.
Ability to remain professional and courteous in challenging situations.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Excellent verbal, written, and auditory communication skills.
Must have experience with Excel, Word, Outlook and other MS office Suite Programs.
Mush have experience with Telematics such as GeoTab
Mush have experience with understanding Department of Transportation Rules and Regulations

Additional Information

Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday, 10:00pm - 6:00am

Compensation:

Hourly rate ranging $ 19- $ 20, based on experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, This position requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, and ascending/descending stairs. Requires sitting for relatively long periods of time, while driving. It also requires frequent bending, climbing, movement, and lifting of up to 75 pounds during the physical loading/unloading of vehicles and when stocking products. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
