Transportation Shift Lead

The Transportation Shift Lead effectively manages the dedicated fleet operations and leads their team at the location.
She/he is the person ultimately responsible for that operation during the shift.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages shift operations of facilities and subordinate staff, coordinators, dispatchers, load planners, and drivers

Accountable for interaction with the staff, drivers and the client on an ongoing basis regarding any issues and continuous improvement.
Overall accountability for maintenance of the data inputted for inbound and outbound trucks.
Maximizes fleet efficiencies through proper planning and execution ensuring a safe working environment

Ensure customer satisfaction in all areas of service and reporting

Preparation for Audits on a daily basis

Facilitate, manage and support all internal and external reporting requirements

Represents Metro One LPSG in a positive manner to the customer and the Vendors

Provides leadership to staff and further the growth and development of all employees, to include employee recognition

Works with all of Metro One's support staff (Safety/Maintenance/Human Resources/etc.)
Interacts and lends support to the Transportation Manager

Requirements:
3+ year's experience in logistics and/or transportation


High School Diploma or GED

Computer applications experience including MS Office strongly desire

Computer applications systems experience using TMW and Supply Chain Management systems helpful;

P&L management and reporting experience and strong organizational background desired

Excellent customer service, problem solving and decision making skills desire

Strong verbal & written communication skills

Other:

Ability and availability to work extended hours including nights and weekends as needed by the customer
