Qualifications: Medical degree and completion of anaccredited General Surgery residency program. Fellowship training or significantexperience in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. Responsibilities: Trauma Surgery : Performa wide range of trauma surgeries, including emergency procedures for complexinjuries. Demonstrate expertise in managing critically ill and injuredpatients.
Acute Care Surgery: Provideacute surgical interventions for a variety of urgent and emergent conditions,such as abdominal emergencies and sepsis. Collaborate with medical teamsto ensure comprehensive acute care for surgical patients.
Patient Care: Conductthorough assessments, diagnosis, and develop treatment plans for trauma andacute care patients. Provide pre-operative and post-operative care tooptimize patient outcomes.
Collaboration: Collaboratewith trauma surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, intensivists, and otherhealthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Participatein multidisciplinary case conferences and contribute to the development oftrauma and acute care protocols.
Education: Contributeto the education and training of medical students, residents, and healthcarestaff in the field of trauma and acute care surgery. Stay informed aboutthe latest advancements in trauma and acute care and share knowledge within theteam.
