Assist licensed physical therapists in evaluating patient conditions, creating treatment plans, and tracking progress. Provide support in implementing therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities according to established treatment plans. Observe and document patients' responses to treatments, noting progress and making necessary adjustments under the guidance of the supervising physical therapist. Assist patients with mobility exercises, transfers, and gait training to improve motor function and enhance physical well-being. Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to be performed both in the clinic and at home. Administer modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as directed by the physical therapist. Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition. Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with the physical therapy team to discuss patient progress, treatment adjustments, and potential challenges. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth by staying updated with the latest trends and developments in physical therapy. QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current Physical Therapist Assistant experience. Graduate from a fully accredited Physical Therapist program Active unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant state license One year of Epic experience Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
