About The Position **Job Title:** CT Technologist **Job Specialty:** CT Scanning **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Days, Friday - Sunday, 7 AM - 7:30 PM **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 1 to 2 years in Diagnostic Radiology or 1 year in CT scanning **License:** ARRT certification in Radiology required **Certifications:** BLS (AHA), IV and contrast administration certification **Must-Have:** Proficiency with GE Scanners, Level I trauma center experience **Job Description:** - Perform CT procedures following departmental protocols and standards. - Operate CT scanners and associated equipment with proficiency. - Examine requests and verify orders for each assigned patient. - Interview patients to gather a complete medical history and review electronic medical records for pertinent information. - Prepare and administer IV contrast according to departmental protocols. - Evaluate the technical quality of images and consult with a radiologist as needed. - Inform appropriate medical staff of any changes in a patient's condition and assist during medical emergencies. - Assist radiologists during invasive procedures, practicing proper sterile techniques. - Adhere to radiation safety guidelines for self, employees, patients, and family members. - Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner and assist other medical personnel during exams or services. - Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies, and be prepared for occasional standing, walking, bending, squatting, or kneeling during daily operations. - Comply with infection control policies and procedures during all invasive procedures. 9332049EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS - AHA Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel adventure begins here.
