Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology Job Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:30 - 17:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Must obtain either ARDMS RDCS or CCI RDS credential Certifications: BLS; either ARDMS RDCS or CCI RDS Must-Have: - Certification in either ARDMS RDCS or CCI RDS - Adult Echo Skills Job Description: - Perform a variety of echocardiography procedures including: - 3-D Echo - Bubble Study - Imaging with Contrast Agents - M-Mode - Pharmacologic Stress Echo - Portable Studies - Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT) - Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT) - Routine - Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) - Treadmill Stress Echo - Utilize equipment from GE and Philips - Conduct procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings, preferred experience with 12 lead EKG and Isolation Precautions - Experience with EMR system preferred - Manage an average daily census of 8-10 patients - Work varied start times from Monday to Friday with call obligations one week every fifth week - Adhere to fit-testing requirements according to employer policy - Flu vaccine is mandatory with medical/religious exemptions only - Must adhere to company policies regarding substances Note: Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role within the past 24 months in the facility.
