Dual modalities rotated-30 min arrival time for Neuro/ 60 min arrival time for IR (Interventional Radiology)-Weekday is Monday through Thursday beginning at 1630 until 0700 which is 14.50 hours -Weekend is Saturday and Sunday 24 hours, which is assigned as a back-up rotation, every 3rd weekend.

Neuro IR nurses assist with the following cases: stroke interventions, cerebral angiogram s and interventions associated with procedure, thrombectomies, circulating as the RN to assist during the case.
We have anesthesia coverage for majority of the Neuro IR cases.

Interventional Radiology (IR) cases: The IR nurse would give moderate sedation when needed and do any specimen collection with circulation working with the Interventionalist and IR tech.
We do organ biopsies, GI Bleeds, para s, Thora s, angiograms, Line placement, dialysis catheter (tunneled and non-tunneled), UFIE s as examples.
