Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: LPN / LVN Start Date: 09/24/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Healthcare professional who works under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians to provide basic nursing care to patients. Here is a brief job description for an LPN: Administering medications and treatments prescribed by physicians and monitoring patients for adverse reactions or side effects. Monitoring patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate, and reporting any significant changes to the supervising nurse or physician. Assisting with patient hygiene, such as bathing and dressing, and helping patients with activities of daily living. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records. Educating patients and their families about disease prevention, health promotion, and the management of chronic health conditions.
