Travel Mammography Technologist

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures.
Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
This position is critical to Washington Radiology; by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the technologist impacts the profitability of the organization as well as the patient experience.


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Understands, promotes, and demonstrates the Solis Way; Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique; Showcases the ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology by effectively communicating to patients the procedures and educating women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health; Always maintains a patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills by effectively communicating on individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees; Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred; Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred; Prior quality control experience preferred; Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography; ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible; Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT; Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location; Ability to stand for long periods of time Utilize your Mammography skills while experiencing a new part of the country!
Solis Mammography | Washington Radiology is currently hiring for Travel Mammography Techs at various centers in District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland.

Assignments would be 12 weeks and have the option to extend Multiple locations available with similar operating procedures and training Assistance with applying for licensure in the state you would be working in is available Housing and living stipend as well as relocation assistance provided
