Record accurate and complete data and send images for interpretation by radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists, or physicians. Patient Care and Comfort : Ensure patient comfort during the procedure, providing clear instructions and offering support as needed. Monitor patient reactions during and after the procedure, particularly with regard to any potential side effects from the radiopharmaceuticals. Collaboration with Healthcare Team : Collaborate with nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to review images, discuss diagnoses, and plan treatment strategies. Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient conditions, procedure progress, and any issues that arise. Quality Control and Equipment Maintenance : Perform regular quality control checks and maintenance on imaging equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly. Troubleshoot and report any malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate personnel for repairs or service. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the nuclear medicine department and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
