Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Weekly Experience: Minimum of 2 Years in CVICU License: Kentucky RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: - CVICU experience - Experience with open heart recovery within 24 hours - Hemodynamic (Swan) experience Job Description: - Work in a high-acuity environment specializing in cardiac care. - Handle advanced medical equipment such as CRRT (Prismax), IABP, Impella, ECMO, and VADs. - Manage patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2. - Utilize EMR system Cerner for patient documentation. - Ensure flexibility with float requirements to other ICU units handling only CVICU patients. - Provide care for cardiac patients, including those undergoing heart and lung transplants. - Maintain a positive and hardworking attitude while understanding the complexities of high acuity care.
