Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: Facility can call off once every two-week pay period Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; first-timers not accepted License: Valid CA license required; temp licenses not accepted Certifications: ACLS, BCLS (CNOR preferred) Must-Have: Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Job Description: - Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. - Be prepared for ambulatory OR and open heart procedures. - Required to take on-call duties 6 days per month. - Availability to float between similar units as needed. - Adhere to facility orientation requirements, which include 40 hours of non-billable orientation. - Use Epic charting for documentation. - Comply with facility's scrub color requirement: Royal Blue. - Maintain required certifications throughout the assignment. - Complete non-billable modules pre-start and annually, spending an average of 16 hours; modules over 20 hours require approval. - Ensure communication devices necessary for duties are available; if not provided, submit work-related cell phone usage for reimbursement. Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state. Refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Must include requests for time off at the time of submission, as excessive requests may delay the offer process.
