**Job Title:** RN First Assist **Profession:** Registered Nurse **Specialty:** First Assist **Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Tuesday-Friday **Hours per Shift:** 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM **Experience:** Minimum 2 years **License:** RN License **Certifications:** BLS, PALS, NRP **Must-Have:** Experience in circulating open heart cases and ability to take call, work weekends, and holidays **Description:** The RN First Assist provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions appropriately, serving as a primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care, and carrying out physician and nursing orders. The role also involves assessing and coordinating patients' discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. This position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment. Adherence to standard precautions with the use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.
