The units include PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, medical behavioral unit. They have, on rare occasion, floated to Bernardy Center. Unit Summary: 30-37 beds. Seeing post op cardiac surgical care, cardiology patients, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VAD's and ECMO. Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Patients can range from neonatal up to 23. Job Requirements CA License 2+ years of CVPICU/CTICU experience leading up to assignment PEDS Cardiac exp - MUST be cardiac trained Heart transplant experience Willing to float between units BLS PALS Experience in: Ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation Schedule Information 3x12 variable or straight night shifts, 36x48 available Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. For night shift it is any combination of Fri/Sat nights and for day shift it is Sat/Sun. 13 week contracts Requested Time Off: 6 days total (must still get 3 shifts in week) Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holidays *Self scheduling!
