**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 19:00-07:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience **License:** TN RN license required **Certifications:** Must have ACLS, BLS & PALS certifications through the American Heart Association **Must-Have:** Understanding and competence in titratable medication drips and respiratory interventions including ventilator-dependent support, BiPAP, and CPAP **Job Description:** - Provide direct patient care to critical care patients using the nursing process. - Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans. - Treat wounds and administer advanced life support. - Assist physicians with procedures and interventions. - Monitor and record patient vital signs. - Ensure functionality of medical equipment and make necessary adjustments. - Administer intravenous fluids and medications. - Perform suctioning as required. - Collaborate with fellow critical care team members to coordinate patient care. - Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols. - Advocate for patients and provide education and support to their families. - Care for pre- and post-operative patients as needed. - Exercise critical thinking skills and decisive judgment in stressful environments. - Document all patient care accurately and timely. - Communicate patient conditions effectively across disciplines.
