**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 1900-0730 **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty areas **License:** Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** Basic dysrhythmia testing competency **Job Description:** - Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. - Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. - Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team. - Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of solutions. - Demonstrate clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. - Perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel. - Be prepared for potential assignment adjustments every 4 hours with the possibility of being assigned to a new area in 4-hour blocks. - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
