**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in either ICU, CCU, ED, IMCU, and 1 year of peri-operative nursing required
**License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIHSS certification within 30 days of hire

**Job Description:**
- Perform a wide variety of clinical procedures requiring independent judgment.
- Implement the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience.
- Provide patient care with an understanding and awareness of age-specific needs.
- Address the biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and patient/family education needs.
- Demonstrate completion of V-ARU competencies.
- Provide pre and post-procedure care for invasive, interventional, and surgical procedures.
- Use critical thinking skills to deliver patient care in complex situations.
- Prepare and administer contrast based on patient weight and physician order.
- Administer conscious sedation per policy and procedure.
- Prepare the patient for procedures and demonstrate sterile technique.
- Demonstrate competence in IV administration and maintenance.
- Prepare trays and catheters for procedures.
- Maintain flexibility with work hours to meet department needs.
- Transport patients, provide privacy and comfort, and maintain departmental records.
- Assist with communication, chart reviews, and perform QA/QC functions.
- Work in other Medical Imaging areas and departments as needed.
- Maintain current certifications and understand scope of service.
- Assist in training other Medical Imaging staff as appropriate.
- Review cases with physicians as needed, coordinate daily patient schedules, and maintain crash carts.
- Verify patient ID using two identifiers and ensure all procedures are documented correctly.
- Provide patient, family, and support system education, including post-procedural home care instructions.
- Comply with organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
