Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/14/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Title: Registered Nurse - L&D Location: Carthage, NY Shift: 07:00 AM-07:30 PM (3*12) Weekly hours: 36 Hours Required: • State Lic for NY • BLS • NRP • ACLS • PALS • Min 2 years experience • Must have Fetal Monitoring Certification. Key Responsibilities: • Assess and monitor patients throughout the labor and delivery process, including fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs. • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. • Assist with childbirth, including delivering babies, providing immediate newborn care, and facilitating skin-to-skin contact. • Educate patients and their families about the labor process, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. • Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed. • Respond to emergencies and complications with a calm and effective approach. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes. • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and protocols. vTech Healthcare Job ID #29731.
