Travel Nurse Rn - Labor/Delivery In Albany, Ga

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Labor & Delivery (L&D) **Job Duration:** 17 weeks **Shift:** 12-Hour Nights **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years in specialty and travel experience required **License:** Required to submit **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP **Must-Have:** - 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery - Travel nursing experience - Certifications as listed **Job Description:** - Enforce a strict 72-mile radius rule. - Work in a unit with 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, and 2 operating rooms. - Maintain a triage area with an OB emergency room that has 6 beds. - Support handling of 150-200 births per month. - Follow AWHONN fetal monitoring guidelines. - Utilize the MEDITECH 6.1 charting system. - Provide care in a trauma-level acute setting. - Join a team with experienced Charge Nurses and OB techs. - Collaborate with in-house neonatologists and OB hospitalists available 24/7. - Work every other weekend and rotate holidays with permanent staff. - Participate in floor-specific orientation over 2 shifts. - Assist with high-risk and routine OB patients, antepartum care, and hospital processes. - Engage in a baby-friendly environment with in-house lactation support. - Floating as needed to the post-partum area. **Additional Notes:** - Scrub color provided by the hospital. - No vent management required. - 24/7 access to pharmacy and RT. - OR techs handle c-sections, attend vaginal deliveries, and perform stocking duties. - Participate in a team-oriented environment with strong support from OB technicians and nursing aides.
