**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery **Job Duration:** 14 Weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years; Unit accepts first-time travelers **License:** GA License or Compact required **Certifications:** ACLS, Intermediate AWHONN, NRP, STABLE Preferred **Must-Have:** Experience Circulating Required; Triage Preferred **Job Description:** - This position involves working in a modified LDRP unit, where the nurse may handle labor, mother-baby (MB), or function as a Circulator on different days. - Responsible for managing patients with conditions such as pre-eclampsia, hypertension-related diagnoses, gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), cardiac conditions, seizures, and preterm labor. - The unit manages approximately 50-60 deliveries and 50-80 triage patients per month. - The NICU accommodates infants born at 32 weeks and above, classified as level 2. - Patient ratios include Labor & Delivery: 1:2, MB/ante-partum: 1:3-4, subject to acuity. - May be required to float within the skill set and act as a sitter when necessary. - Schedule requirements include a maximum of 7 days of requested time off, with blocked scheduling not guaranteed. - Weekend obligation includes 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. - Holiday work is required depending on assignment duration and includes major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. - Full compliance must be achieved to start on time, with a possibility of a 2-week delay if not compliant in time for the bi-weekly orientation schedule. - Orientation consists of 13 non-billable hours. Candidates should be available to promptly complete and schedule necessary compliance documentation and labs to meet the start timeline. Return assignments may require completion of a successful placement elsewhere before rebooking.
