Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Must comply with Louisiana Department of Health Nursing Staffing Agencies Licensing Standards Certifications: Joint Commission Accredited agencies only Must-Have: Nursery or Level II Nursery experience preferred Job Description: - Responsible for providing care during labor and delivery stages. - Manage and monitor patient progress and respond to any emergencies. - Facilitate an average of 30-40 births per month. - Work alongside a dedicated team to ensure the safety and comfort of both mothers and newborns. - Utilize Meditech EMR system for documentation and patient care. - Participate in required holiday coverage. - Travel staff must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility. - Engage in professional development and orientation as necessary.
