Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery/Postpartum License: Valid RN license; pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BCLS Must-Have: Experience in a Level III Obstetrical Unit Job Description: - Orientations will occur the week of Christmas. - Work 3 or 4x12-hour shifts, depending on the needs. - First-time applicants are welcome. - Weekend shifts are mandatory. - Floating between like units (Labor & Delivery and Postpartum) based on need. - Local applicants are not accepted; must be at least 50 miles from the facility. - Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). - Must include all requested time off at the time of submission; no holiday requests for time off. - This is a busy unit with 400 births in the summer; must get up to speed quickly. - Core staff are less experienced, so reliance on experienced travelers is expected. - Charting experience in EPIC is required. - Minimum of two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting is required. - All travelers are expected to float between various units as needed. Completion of non-billable modules pre-start and annually, with an average of 16 hours spent on these modules.
