**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Obstetrics (OB) **Job Duration:** 13-week assignment **Shift:** 12-Hour Night Shifts **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** No minimum years of experience specified **License:** Current Registered Nurse license in good standing **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - STABLE Program - Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Intermediate - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) **Must-Have:** - Experience with Med-Surg and willingness to float - Communication skills - Computer application proficiency - Ability to perform patient assessment and develop care plans - Ability to manage emergencies per policy and guidelines **Job Description:** - Perform assessments, develop care plans, and provide care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients. - Manage obstetric and newborn emergencies following policy and guidelines such as AWHONN, STABLE, and NRP. - Assist with procedures like epidural placement and circumcision. - Document fetal heart monitoring according to policy and AWHONN guidelines. - Take a Med-Surg patient load and assist in other units when required. - Demonstrate strong organizational abilities and interaction capabilities with patients, families, and coworkers. - Handle conflicts assertively and tactfully, and participate in group-solving activities. - Demonstrate a professional and open-minded approach in problem-solving processes. - Meet physical demands including lifting, moving, walking, and standing for extended periods. - Work within environmental conditions that may involve exposure to blood and body fluids, equipment, and chemicals.
